The Stock Market [Aug 2004] is correcting nicely with the Nasdaq testing it's lows, I am guessing to around 1450, while shaking out the weak earnings stocks. After the election 2004, and assuming no terrorism, the market should perform well and the Nasdaq should touch 2400 by July 2005. A return test to 2000 would not be unexpected in the fall of 2005, but truthfully, who knows, this is late summer 2004. Jobs are returning but consumers are waning. Maybe just the summer blues..if not, watch real estate for a correction by spring 2005 especially if short term fed rates pass 3%. Energy is a factor particularly in the case of war with Iran or North Korea. Oil could easily hit $60 in the case of a war(s) of this magnitude...more
